AI KOL

AI KOL is a photographic book curated by Sofia Blu Cremaschi and Naomi Oke, all the pictures by Sofia Blu. Born from an all-female expedition through the mountains of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.

Conceived as both a visual archive and a narrative journey, the project explores movement, silence, listening, and the relationship between body and landscape. Here, nature is not treated as a backdrop, but as a living presence - shaping gestures, rhythms, and traces that endure through time.

The book combines photography, written fragments, and field-based documentation collected during the journey, creating an intimate and immersive experience suspended between documentary practice and poetic observation.

Originally presented through a live exhibition format accompanied by a sound composition built from recordings gathered along the expedition - wind, footsteps, voices, environmental textures - AI KOL extends into print as a collectible object and storytelling piece.

All proceeds from the book will be donated to the organization Altyn-Ko.
