The dongle size Phidgets USB Interface Kit 2/2/2 is designed for customers who only need a couple of analog inputs, digital inputs or digital outputs. It plugs directly into a computer's USB port. To keep the board small, the manufacturer has removed the connectors from the board and brought them out through a 12-wire cable. The analog inputs are used to measure continuous quantities. Sampling rates can be set at 1 ms, 2 ms, 4 ms, 8 ms, and multiple of 8 ms up to 1000 ms.
The digital inputs have a digital input hardware filter to eliminate false triggering from electrical noise. The digital outputs can be used to drive LEDs, solid-state relays, transistors, and anything that will accept a CMOS signal.
