Teresa has been a REALTOR® member at the Austin Board of REALTORS® ABOR since obtaining her real estate license in 2003. She has been involved in many ABOR committees through the years and has utilized her leadership skills to Chair the Legislative Management Team, the Local Property Issues Subcommittee and Vice Chair the Government Affairs Committee. For two years, she served on the ABOR Grievance Committee before it was moved over to Texas Association of REALTORS®. Teresa is also involved at the State Association by providing service as Liaison on the Housing Initiative committee and member on the Professional Standards and Grievance Committees. Currently, she serves as ABOR Board of Director and Texas Association of Realtors Director.
Teresa’s education includes a BA in Government with a minor in Sociology from the University of Texas in Austin. She has also earned the following designations and certifications: Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), Broker Price Opinion Resource (BPOR), Military Relocation Professional (MRP), Texas Affordable Housing Specialist (TAHS) , and is a graduate of the Texas REALTOR® Leadership Program (TRLP). Teresa was the recipient of the ABOR President Award for Outstanding Service.
Teresa makes time to volunteer to her community. She has worked with ABoR’s Habitat Build Project and the Keller Williams Red Day. She also substitute teaches in the Pflugerville School District, saying it is a joy to teach middle school children.
