Before Tiffany Carlson-Richison had even celebrated her 20th birthday, she was a homeowner. “I purchased my first home at 19 and my second property at 21. I used a REALTOR® with my first purchase and experienced a smooth and worry free transaction. As such, it appeared that the entire transaction was easy so I foolishly elected not to hire a real estate agent to assist me with my second purchase. Shortly after closing on the second property, which was a condo, I quickly realized that I made a big mistake not hiring a real estate professional, as I discovered that the HOA had no money in the bank and $30,000 of accounts receivable. I was forced to get involved and became President of the Association’s board. After learning the hard way, I knew that if I wanted to continue to invest in real estate I needed to become better educated about the industry, so I obtained my license,” she says. At first, Tiffany admits, “I thought I could be a “part time” real estate agent, however; I soon realized that it would be impossible for me to effectively serve my clients without being fully committed to the industry. It was at that time that I hit the ground running and become 100% dedicated to the industry.”
Tiffany made that important decision in 2004 and since that time Tiffany says that her job as a REALTOR® has fulfilled everything she wanted out of a career. “I love the challenge. Every day is a new day, every transaction is different, and the industry is constantly changing,” she says. In addition, Tiffany enjoys using her natural strengths in the areas of critical thinking, negotiating and marketing properties which enable her to efficiently and effectively serve her clients.
By way of example, she’s been included in the Gold Zone for Realty One Group, which is the fifth largest brokerage in the nation, making her one of their top agents for production. In addition, she has been amongst the top two agents in sales volume in her office for the past three years. Tiffany was named a South East Valley Regional Association of REALTORS® (SEVRAR) Top 40 under 40 Agent in 2013, 2014, 2015, & 2016. In 2014, she was also included on the WSJ/REAL TRENDS list of America's Best Real Estate Agents.
Her climb to the top of the Phoenix real estate market has certainly not been a fluke. Tiffany is incredibly attentive to detail, presenting each buyer and seller with the information regarding the property and current market conditions which allows her clients to make the best possible decision about their purchase or sale of their property. Her unmatched attention to detail coupled with her unique marketing skills (acquired through a degree in marketing from WP Carey School of Business) have allowed her to gain an extensive amount of experience within an 11 year period. Tiffany has had the opportunity of working with investors, flippers, first time home buyers, and experienced sellers during both the height of the real estate market as well as the low points. Plus she says, she’s incredibly driven to deliver the absolute best results for her clients. “REALTORS® are so fortunate to be a part of such an important financial decision. I take that very seriously.”
As such, Tiffany tends to stay in close connection with all of her clients long after the close of a property. “I personally reach out to each of my prior clients to see how they and their families are doing,” she says, in addition to sending notecards, emails and newsletters throughout the year.
When Tiffany isn’t busy working with buyers or sellers in the Valley, raising her young daughter, or volunteering her time and resources to the Lions Club Mesa Host, or Give Back Homes, she is also selling real estate in the Forest Lakes community where her family owns a cabin. “My mother, Pam, and I enjoy selling second homes there as well. It is a short 2.5 hour drive-just past Payson. The climate is approximately 30 degrees cooler than the Phoenix Metro area. There were only 2 days last year that exceeded 90 degrees,” she says.
As for the future for Tiffany? “I found a list of life goals I had outlined in 2001 when I began college. Read it to find that I’ve accomplished them, but it’s time to set new goals. I will continue to be a student of the industry, sharpen my skills in all facets, and find ways to improve the overall experience for my clients!”
